MY New Year Resolutions

1. To rejoin Flylady. I was a much happier person with a MUCH cleaner house when I followed her system. (the complete story as to why I decided to put up with the millions of emails a day to follow tomorrow!)

2. To call my younger brother who lives in the city once every week. He may be 21 with lots of friends and lots of parties to attend, but he gets homesick. I need to make that effort to call him more often!!

3. To blog on a regular basis.

That's it. Last year my resolution was to send out birthday cards. That turned out successfully and is now a regular habit, not something that I have to try real hard to achieve.

What are your New Year Resolutions?

My 2007 resoultions:

As of this morning I started back on the South Beach Diet Phase 1. I have to live through 2 weeks of no carbs good or bad and then I can begin to add those good carbs (ie fruits) and whole grains back in. I needed to do that. I am weighing in at 140 lbs and that's more than I weighed last year this time so it was about time I got off my butt and did something about it. I have done South Beach before and I know it works so I went with that.

I need to implement a better exercise routine (not just my exercise bike). I will be looking into Jazzercise and a few workouts that are on my cable's on demand service.

I plan on finding a closer relationship with God and in turn finding the best person I can be buried beneath the person I have become. I know that that will be my toughest struggle but I feel finally I am committed to doing it through many different avenues.

Work together with Hubby to get our financial house in order and mainly get out of debt and find financial peace. That's a very big issue for me and I am hoping that in the next years resolutions to come this one won't be a recurring theme.

Get better organized around the house and in all areas of my life not to mention learning that it's okay to say 'no' and not spread myself too thin all in the name of being everything to everyone and nothing to myself.

Be a better mom to step back and enjoy the little things that my children have to offer since those things are always gone faster than we could imagine.

Have a better relationship with my hubby. Find the fun that we used to share and laugh more and accentuate the positive and do my best to stay away from the negative forces that have a way of dragging me down.
